Boss Locations and Drops - Clover Time Wiki
All seven beta bosses mapped with their level gates, health pools and drop tables, plus the routes that get you there quickly.
Overview
The beta ships seven bosses, each gated by level and each holding exclusive outfits, cloaks, weapons and crafting fragments. This page maps every spawn point and lists the drop chances so you can decide which fight is actually worth your session.
All Boss Drops and Locations
This route video walks every boss spawn in one run, which is far easier to follow than written directions alone. It also shows how a squad splits aggro on the higher-level fights so nobody gets focused down instantly. Watch the opening seconds to see who holds aggro.
How Boss Gating Works
Each boss has a minimum level. Attempting one below the gate wastes a trip and often a chest, so check the requirement before you fly out to a distant spawn point and lose the whole trip. Higher gates also mean much longer fights.
Health pools range from around 2,250 on the Chain Bandit to far higher totals on the late-game spawns. Higher HP mostly means longer fights, which is where sustained grimoire damage and regeneration bonuses matter most, so never start one without a grimoire you can cast repeatedly.
Boss Spawns and Drops
Chances below are the drop rates reported during the beta. Farming a specific item means repeating the same boss, so pick the one whose cheapest useful drop you actually need for your current build. Farming for a slot you already filled wastes hours.
Chests appear on most tables, which makes bossing one of the steadiest sources of continuous Mana Crystal materials. Chest rewards come from the same fights.
| Boss | Level | Location | Notable Drops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chain Bandit (Salik) | 20+ | Ruins, left path past the Cole NPC | Salik Outfit 30%, Salik Cloak 12%, Chain Fragment 15%, Normal Chest 9.5% |
| Earth Bandit Boss | 25+ | Deep Hage Forest past the Wagonmaster | Earth Mage Outfit 30%, Earth Mage Boss Outfit 5%, Normal Chest 9.5% |
| Mana Wolf | 35+ | Hage Forest near the Rayaka portal | Fragments and crystal materials |
| Zora | Gated | Rayaka Village | Exclusive outfit and weapon drops |
| Fire Mage Boss | Gated | Rayaka Village | Fire Mage Outfit 30%, Fire Mage Boss Outfit 5% |
| Heart Grice | Gated | Sosshi Village | Accessories and chest drops |
| Magna Swing | Gated | Under the Sosshi Bridge | Late-tier weapon and gear drops |
Farming a Boss Efficiently
Boss farming is a loop: travel, clear, loot and rotate to the next spawn while the first respawns. Running it in order beats camping one point and waiting for a respawn timer to tick down. Standing still is the slowest option available.
If a boss is above your level, squad up rather than grinding levels first. Group kills still roll for drops, and the shared aggro makes each attempt far more forgiving. Groups also revive each other quickly.
Check the Level Gate
Confirm your level meets the requirement. Under-leveled attempts usually end in a death and a lost trip.
Bank a Crystal First
Keep Mana Crystals so you can reroll if a boss drop prompts a build change mid-session.
Rotate Spawns in Order
Chain Bandit, then Earth Bandit Boss, then the forest spawns. Each respawn timer covers the travel between points.
Bail Out at Full Inventory
Return to a village to craft or store loot rather than fighting with a full bag and losing drops.
Review the Drop Table
Stop farming a boss once you own its useful drops. Move to the next spawn instead of chasing a 2% item for hours.
Squad Roles That Work
Magic Squads exist to make gated bosses farmable earlier. A balanced squad clears noticeably faster than four players all running the same damage type. Two damage types cover almost every gated fight.
Frontline
Anti-Magic or Chain players hold aggro and interrupt casts so ranged teammates can free-fire.
Ranged Pressure
Ice, Poison and Lightning kits chip bosses from outside the melee punish window.
Support Saves
Players with high regeneration and chest loot can revive and reset a failed attempt quickly.
Boss Farming Mistakes
Most wasted boss sessions come from these habits rather than from bad luck on the drop rolls themselves. Preparation fixes most bad sessions.
- Attempting a boss below its level gate and losing the chest to a respawn
- Farming a boss whose useful drops you already own
- Ignoring nearby mob spawns that drop the crafting fragments you actually need
- Travelling back and forth between villages instead of rotating spawns
- Rerolling a grimoire mid-session and losing your boss-ready build
What Boss Drops Unlock Next
Boss loot feeds the rest of your account: outfits add health and stamina, weapons raise damage, and fragments convert into grimoire rolls at the tower. Gear and rolls improve together.
That makes bossing the natural follow-up to early leveling and questing. Read the item guides next to see which specific drops are worth targeting for your current build. Ignore drops that do not fit your grimoire.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many bosses are in Clover Time?
Seven are available in the beta: Chain Bandit, Earth Bandit Boss, Mana Wolf, Zora, Fire Mage Boss, Heart Grice and Magna Swing.
What level do I need for the first boss?
Chain Bandit is gated at level 20, which makes it the friendliest starting point for a new account pushing into boss content.
Where does Chain Bandit spawn?
In the Ruins. From the Grimoire Tower portal, head straight to the Cole NPC and take the left path to reach the spawn point.
Do bosses drop grimoires?
No. Bosses drop outfits, cloaks, weapons, fragments and chests. Grimoires only come from rolling at the tower with Mana Crystals.
Can I solo bosses in the beta?
Lower-gated bosses are soloable with a good grimoire and health regeneration. Higher spawns are far faster to farm with a Magic Squad.
Which boss should I farm for outfits?
Chain Bandit for the Salik set, then Earth Bandit Boss and Fire Mage Boss, both of which drop both regular and boss-exclusive outfits.
Do boss respawn timers matter?
Yes. Rotating between nearby spawns lets travel time cover the respawn window instead of standing idle at one point.
