Overview

Leveling in the beta comes from stacking multipliers rather than grinding one spawn forever. This route combines quest completion, EXP-boosting traits and race bonuses, boss kills and the idle rewards from AFK World into a single repeatable loop that works at every level bracket in the beta.

Best EXP Source:Quests + bosses
Idle Option:AFK World
Key Trait:Fast Learner
Key Race:Devil
Milestone:Level 35

Efficient Leveling in Practice

This guide run shows how a leveled player moves between quest NPCs, spawn waves and the tower without dead time. Watching the routing helps you copy the pattern instead of guessing where the EXP actually comes from and losing that time to slow routes.

Why Some Players Level Twice as Fast

The difference is almost always bonuses, not hours. A Devil with Fast Learner collects far more experience from the same kill because race and trait bonuses multiply on top of each other rather than replacing one another, which is why the same route performs very differently across accounts.

Stacking EXP buffs from codes such as the 30-minute double EXP reward turns a normal session into a fast one. Claim those before a long grind instead of after, and note the timer so you can plan the session around it.

EXP Sources Ranked

Not every activity gives experience worth your time. This ranking reflects what actually moves the bar during the beta, from the fastest route to the slowest filler activity, so you can cut dead time out of a session. Anything below the middle of the list should fill gaps rather than drive your plan.

SourceEXP ValueNotes
Quest turn-insVery highFastest early levels, also unlocks systems
Boss killsHighGated by level, best in a squad
Mob farmingMediumOnly worth it while quests are on cooldown
AFK WorldMediumPassive EXP while you are away

If a boss out-levels you, join a squad instead of dying repeatedly. Group kills still grant full quest progress and drop rolls.

The Fast Leveling Rotation

Run this loop whenever you sit down for a session. It keeps quest progress, boss drops and idle rewards all moving at once so no system sits idle while you play, and every trip between villages carries something useful with it.

After two or three passes you will notice which step is your bottleneck, usually mana sustain or gear, and can fix it before the next run starts. Fixing one bottleneck usually shortens the whole route by several minutes.

1

Bank Every Active Quest

Pick up all available quests before travelling. Overlapping kill and collection objectives resolve in the same trip and save a lot of walking.

2

Claim Buff Codes First

Apply any timed EXP rewards from codes right before a grind block so the multiplier covers the most efficient part of your session.

3

Rotate Boss Spawns

Move between Ruins, Hage Forest and the villages to find live boss spawns. Each clear gives EXP plus item drops.

4

Park in AFK World Before Logging Off

Idle rewards keep accumulating experience and gold while you are away. Enter with the free option and return through the world menu.

AFK World supplements active play rather than replacing it. Progress there is slower than a real quest block but costs you nothing.

Bonuses Worth Chasing

These four bonuses compound across everything you do, which makes them far more valuable than a small flat stat edge in a single fight or boss attempt. Flat stats help one encounter, while percentages help every encounter you take.

If you are still rolling for passives, the class tier list explains which rolls to keep and which to reroll before a bonus change makes the difference permanent. Reroll cost is fixed, so fixing a bad roll early is always cheaper.

Fast Learner

A beginner-friendly trait that boosts learning speed and works well while you spam spells early.

EXP Gain Rolls

Devil races and trait rolls raise total experience gained from every source.

Timed Buffs

Ten, thirty and sixty minute boosters are best saved for boss rotations and quest bursts.

Coin Eye is the income equivalent of Fast Learner and pairs well with grinding routes that generate gold.

Leveling Mistakes That Cost Hours

Most slow accounts repeat one of these habits. Fixing a single item on this list usually saves more time than any gear upgrade at the same level, and costs nothing to adopt. Adopt all three on your next session and the difference is immediately obvious.

  • Farming mobs with empty quest logs instead of turning in objectives
  • Popping EXP boosts while travelling instead of fighting
  • Skipping the AFK world before logging off for the night
  • Fighting under-leveled bosses solo instead of switching to a squad
  • Ignoring the race tier list when a reroll would matter more than gear

Diminishing Returns and When to Stop

Leveling slows noticeably after the level 35 boss gate, and from there your growth comes from better grimoires, stronger outfits and squad coordination rather than raw level count, because every system after that gate scales off gear quality. Level still gates content, but it stops being the main source of your power.

That is the right moment to switch focus. Spend your session on better grimoire rolls and drop farming instead of chasing the next level for its own sake and burning a whole session on diminishing gains. Switch to boss and gear sessions and the same hours produce far more progress.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the fastest way to level in Clover Time?

Stack quest turn-ins with EXP bonuses and boss clears. Quests give the highest value per minute, and bosses add drops alongside experience.

Does the AFK World really give EXP?

Yes. Parking there before you log off accumulates experience, gold and periodic Mana Crystals that you collect on your next login.

Which race levels fastest?

Devil, because it stacks the largest experience bonus with strong health and mana regeneration that keeps you in fights longer.

Should I use EXP codes early or late?

Use them at the start of a grind block, ideally right before a boss rotation, so the timed multiplier overlaps your highest-value activity.

Is mob farming ever worth it?

Only while quests are on cooldown or for specific material drops. Pure mob grinding gives noticeably less experience per minute than objective work.

When does leveling slow down?

Past the level 35 boss gate the curve steepens sharply, which is when gear, grimoires and squads start mattering more than level count.

Do I need a squad to level quickly?

Not for quests, but squads make higher-level bosses farmable earlier, which adds a steady stream of experience plus exclusive drops.
